This little lovely finally sold! A coworker of mine bought it from me. She's interested in another piece too. How cool is that?
It feels a little weird to have someone I know in "real life" buy my art. I don't know, maybe it's the whole "I'm not good enough" mentality that makes me feel that way.
Do you have that feeling when you sell to people you know?

Jen, I think most of us make our first sales to people we know. I know I did. No, it wasn't weird, it was a total SWITCH for me, because up until that moment I had been giving my art to my friends and not letting them pay me! She finally insisted, and voila, my first sale. It's actually pretty cool when I walk into her house and see my art hanging there. Thanks to her I now have the confidence to branch out and sell to anyone that is interested. So when's our next show?? :)
OXOXO
Stacy
I DO feel way weird when someone I know wants to buy something i have made...usually I don't have the guts to ask for the money and I end up giving it for free; that's one of the reasons I so enjoy ATCs and trading...at least by trading I know I'm getting some awesome art in return :)
