Blog Awards

I was lucky enough to receive not one but two blog awards this week!

The first one is the One Lovely Blog Award from Myrarte. If you aren't familiar with Myrarte's work I strongly encourage you to take a moment to visit her blog. *The translator is about halfway down on her sidebar* The detail she is able to get into her paintings is amazing! Check out the hair and clothing!

I've suppose to do the whole list 7/name 7 for this one. I'm finding that's really hard for me as I have to try to remember what I've already babbled about in previous posts. Anyway, here goes:

• Since I had my Lasik done about a year ago I am terrified my vision is suddenly going to take a nose dive.
  

• Whenever our AC kicks on I swear I can hear music or noise from the TV in the background. Many times I've mistaken the AC for my cell phone. *Cory says it's just because I'm crazy.*
  

• I bite my nails.

• I worry sometimes I dress too young for my age so I try to be very careful when picking out clothing.
  

• I have loved Wonder Woman since I was a child.

• I wish I were the type who can have lush green houseplants inside and a beautiful flower bed in my yard. The only plants I have been able to keep alive are a bamboo in a jar and a cactus.

• My favorite fruit is watermelon. In fact, I just cut one up this evening to chill.

The second award I received this week is the Meme Award from Folk Art by Campbell Jane. I've been following her blog for a while now. Her bold use of color never fails to fascinate me! From angels to animals to food, you name it - she paints it. Be sure to check out her blog. You won't be disappointed.

This one is a list 7/name 7 award too.

• I dislike going to blogs that have music playing automatically. Especially first thing in the morning. Grrr.
  

• I really, really want to get my nose pierced. I've wanted to for years now but haven't because it's against the dress code. Now, if I weren't afraid I'd get laid off when we slow down at work I would do it regardless of the dress code. Oh but mark my words - IT WILL BE DONE.
  

• I rarely clean my brushes after I use them. I've been known let them sit in water for days.

• I wear flip flops almost all year round.

• The new Dell commercial brings a smile to my face every time I see it.

• I don't understand why Jon and Kate and the Octomom are newsworthy nor do I understand the minute by minute frenzy over Michael Jackson.

• My wardrobe is made up of mainly earth tones with a few pinks thrown in.
