I'm hoping I will get to see the baby around here somewhere! Does anyone know if this is a Robin egg? I don't know that I have ever seen one up close before but I have heard they are blue and speckled.

it's definitely a robin's egg. I always thought they were so pretty, but I could never figure out a way to use the shells in my art...they're too pretty to let go to waste.
hope you get to see the baby flying around :-)

Just lovely. This is the 4th one I've seen on a blog the last few days. Must be that time o' year

aw! Did you take it home and keep it?

I posted four shots of a baby bird being fed by its momma yesterday in my photoblog. Didja see them?

Drat! Why did I not think to pick it up and keep it? I was so happy I got a picture of it I plain didn't think about it.

I'm really excited to hear it is a robin egg. I'll have to watch for the little one hopping about. I really hope he makes it!

I don't know much about eggs... but I swear when I saw this it reminded me of a post I just read somewhere else where she used Robin egg blue to paint these chairs.. and that was the exact color... so it must be!
