Devine Goddess Painting
This is the other painting my coworker bought from me. I think it's kind of cool too that when I bring stuff in some of my coworkers seemed genuinely interested in what I do. It makes me feel proud and a little embarrassed at the same time.

One of them even knew what Etsy was because her cousin has an Etsy shop! I thought that was pretty neat. She's the first one I've met outside of the art/craft world who knew what Etsy was.

Things are FINALLY starting to slow down at work again. We have gotten several lunches in the past week or so and I got off work three times so far before 6:30pm. I got to leave at 4:45 today!

That certainly helped me decide on my little job crisis situation. My goal is to still work only part time so I can pursue painting but at least this way I will be able to pay off bills first without cashing in my 401k. If I can work normal hours for a while I don't have to worry about burn out and I figure around January/February I can review the situation. That gives me about six months - A time frame which I think is reasonable and a more responsible decision.

The only thing bad about us slowing down is that the staff will have to be downsized. We go from working nonstop to worrying about layoffs in a few months. Go figure. I guess that's the way it works though, right? I really hope I don't get laid off but if I do I don't really have the opportunity to pussy foot around anymore - debt or no debt.

Congrats on the sale Jennifer! I haven't run into anyone yet who knows of Etsy, but I promote it whenever I can!!
I hope you achieve your dream of working part time and being able to do artwork more! I would love that also :)

That is a great attitude to have, Jen, about the job situation. Your intuition is really kicking in, obviously, which is giving you the foresight to be saving for a rainy day just in case.

And congrats on the sale!! I think this is proof that sales are easier to make when you spend face time with your customers. Etsy has it's own working formula, of course, but talking, interracting, basically "visiting" with the people who look at your art is very likely to lead to your next sale. I'm very happy for you! xoxo S.
