I was checking up on the blogs I follow today and came across the video below on D.Sharp Journal.
"This video below shows an astounding feat by a New Caledonian crow. In an experiment conducted by behaviorists from the University of Oxford, a small bucket of food was placed inside a tube; the crow was unable to reach the bucket because of the length of the tube. She then picked up a short length of wire, and, after a few futile attempts to snag the bucket with it, bent the wire into a hook and lifted the bucket from the tube. What’s more, the crow repeated the behavior in nine out of 10 subsequent trials."
Anyone who says animals are just stupid creatures haven't watched something like this. Animals have an intelligence all their own. The original story comes from Britannica. It gives links to several other experiments. Check out the link to the Japanese crow where they break nuts using the traffic on the streets!
I went to the doctor today about my hand but he wasn't able to tell me too much more than I already know. It's either tendinitis or carpal tunnel. He said I'm already doing everything I can with the ibuprofen, BioFreeze and the arm brace until I can find out for certain what the problem is. I have an appointment with a specialist on August 3rd.
For right now I'm doing okay with using my right hand for everything so it's not a tremendous wait. The only thing that sucks is the consult visit is going to cost $200!!! If you ever have the choice to use the traditional copay insurance or an HSA plan, go with the copay! This HSA stuff sucks.
Hopefully we will have the option to switch back in September. If not I think I may look into getting onto Cory's insurance instead.
Do what you love and the rest comes on it's own

When you see the specialist about your hand, as about a electromyelogram [EMG]. It measures nerve functionality. Here is a good article I found on it:
http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1285531-overview
The nerve decompression surgery is what I had (after trying everything else) and it has totally fixed the issues with my left hand. It was numb, weak and basically useless before this surgery.
Hope this helps. Can't hurt to ask your Doc about the test.
Love,
S.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for stopping by my blog. You are just adorable!! I see you are taking Mary Ann's class too. I finally have all my stuff, now to get started, yes I am behind but I'll catch up. Your work looks great!! I really like the colors you chose for your cover.
Blessings,
Mary
I'm very fond of crows and at this moment can see two dancing on the roof of the house next door. Last week I saw one having a fight with a black cat (wish I'd had my video camera!)The clip is brilliant...and you got me watching lots more on Youtube!!
Hope you get your hand sorted.....
Best wishes
