Happy Thanksgiving!

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Did you have a good Thanksgiving? We did. We spent the day doing pretty much nothing and it was great!

Cory and I prefer not to do the scramble back and forth between families or cook a Thanksgiving feast big enough to feed an army thing. Nope, we chilled at home and ate hot pockets (him) and ravioli's (me) and watched movies while I doodled in my art journal. Can you guess which movies we were watching?

Star Trek Doodles

Selfish? Maybe a little but we don't have all too much of a choice but to accept it anyway. Cory's dad is usually out of town on a flight, my mom says my house depresses her too much to come over and Cory's mom is a nine hour drive away. So, we came up with our own little tradition.

Terminator Salvation Doodles

We didn't do anything for Black Friday either. Cory had to work and I took the dog to the dog park, ran a few errands and cleaned house. I try my best to avoid the masses on Black Friday. People get plain crazy!

Other than that I've been working on stuff for Etsy Fort Worth. I posted the first of our weekly giveaways and I'm trying to gather up all the information I will need for our live meeting next week.

I also wanted to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone for their well wishes! The doctor called me in a new prescription and it seems to be helping out quite a bit.

Do what you love and the rest comes on it's own

Why does your house depress your Mom Jen???? Lol ;)

She says she gets depressed because what she has isn't as good as what I have. So she hasn't come over since I did her taxes in March. Messed up isn't it?

i dont think you are selfish at all.... my two girls and i would love to do nothing on christmas day except eat pizza and watch dvds.... but alas it is not to be... have to please too many other people and never ourselves. my kids will probably blame me in later life! lol

also my mum has probs coming to me as im too messy/untidy/have too much clutter!

you go girl and spend time together and make your own traditions!

so glad you are feeling better - that is sad about your mom - I'm thrilled when my kids are doing well - I want my kids to have it better than I do .

I don't get too upset about my mother. That's just the way she is.

It's fun to have out own traditions! We may not have children but it makes us feel like a little family!
